Too Cute

Kerrigan is getting SO big! The other day I was sitting against the couch with my eyes shut. I hear a noise and look over to spot this right next to me:
She had pulled herself up onto the couch and had found the bowl and spoon from a few minutes before and was feeding herself...I just about died!

This is her wrinkle nose face...I don't know where it came from, but I like it! She wrinkles her nose and starts laughing nasally (as of recently, snottily because of her teething-the snot bubbles it produces are nothing less than impressive!).

So after last week's embarrassment of dressing K in clothes WAY too small, I decided she was finally allowed to wear her 6-12 month dresses (I have been putting it off, because it means I have an infant, not a baby). The results were to die for!!!!

The quality of the picture is AWFUL!!! However, it captures her "booty scooty" method of transportation. She bounces on her bum (she gets some pretty good air), flaps her arms, kicks her legs and squeals....and somehow it all comes together to create movement. She can go forwards and backwards, and to me it defies all the laws of physics...

I basically love EVERYTHING about this picture (except the bar stool legs in the background). I love her outfit, her face, her hand, her feet sticking out of the bottom, and the coloring! LOVE IT!!! LOVE HER!!! That's all!
So I did the photobucket thing to get some of the pictures bigger. However, some of the pictures it wouldn't let me go any bigger than medium. I tried typing in a size and it wouldn't let me go any bigger. Does anyone know why?

Thanks Kristen and Merry for the link help!

The Captain's Callin'

(Sorry, this is probably reposting on everyone's Google Reader)

One of the first places we went after we moved to CT was Captain's Cove in Bridgeport. We thought it was so much fun, but have never returned. For some reason during Sunday School a couple of weeks ago I started hankerin for another trip.

We invited a few friends to go along (AFTER Sunday school, of course- except Ben, I was sitting next to him during it so I think I irreverently mentioned it to him), and Jared and I began building it up so they would be appropriately prepared for the awesomeness they were about to experience.

The day we were supposed to go we started getting nervous that it wasn't quite as cool as we remembered it being. After all, after moving from Rexburg Idaho, anything involving ocean water was AWESOME for the first few months.

Fortunately, it was either as fun as we made it sound, or we have really polite friends that didn't have the heart to tell us otherwise : ) The highlights were the photo ops, the lobster claw (like the toy claw game, but if you catch a lobster they cook it for you for free- we spent as much as we would have to order lobster, but never caught one :), and the famous Captains Platter (aka a smorgasbord of cod, clams, shrimp and fries).

All in all, a good time!

Take a Gander!

Cute burpcloth/blanket giveaway alert! Since my almost 9 month old is still spitting up (normal?), I definitely entered.

Quick question, how do I do the link but have it named something else. Like instead of the whole title, I could have said click here (and here shows up as a link).

Can I rephrase a sentence in the last post? Instead of feel free to spread the word I would like to ask you to please spread this information. If you would like to just copy and paste my post (Kara also wrote one)onto your blog, please do.

We need to get the information to as many people as we can in order to help Jami and Kason as much as possible.

Thanks

Kameron

For those who don't already know, Kameron Haban lost his battle with Lupus this morning. He has touched the lives of so many with his huge smile and genuine kindness, and will be missed by so many! Jami has also touched many with her amazing courage and faith throughout their ordeal. Whether you know them or not, please keep Jami and 2 1/2 year old son Kason in your prayers.

This sweet family is in need of emotional, spiritual and physical support. Kameron spent more than the last month of his life in the ICU. We are all blessed with an opportunity to help. Yesterday a bank account was opened for them. Anyone can go to any Bank of America and make a donation to the account under JamiLynn Haban for the benefit of Kameron Haban. You can also make an online donation at paypal.com by sending it to habanfundraiser@gmail.com

Jami did an amazing job of updating everyone on her blog kamandjami.blogspot.com if you would like to read more about their experience.

Please help us lend support to the Haban family during this time! Feel free to help spread the word of how to make a donation to those who you know will want to help.

I dedicate this entire post to Ami...

This is where I said, "Kris, smile for Ami"...

And just because this is a really goofy picture...

8 months 5 days 17 hours and 15 minutes...

At 8 months 5 days 17 hours and 15 minutes Kerrigan....
...is suddenly outgrowing clothes. On Sunday I put her in a 3 month dress and it barely covered her bloomers...oops! She outgrew her pink shoes (sad day) and her sleep sack (that's ok, I love her footie pj's).

...has been sitting on her own for 2 months.

...has 5 teeth she will not allow to be photographically documented!

...has attended her first concert (Good Morning America's David Cook, KRIS ALLEN and Adam Lambert).

...is such a good baby, she lets us just strap her on and take her anywhere. Cynda and I meandered around Central Park/ NYC for awhile. Even though she had been awake since before 5 am (unheard of in her world) she did not cry once the entire day!
(pardon the AWFUL picture, my exposure compensation was at +1.5)

...has just discovered I put bows on her head, and enjoys removing them...RATS!

...Says mama if she needs something, dadadada whenever daddy is around, Ka for Kerrigan nanana just to make noise and baba for Uncle Ben. She also growls (more of a roar), and does not see the necesity of holding back during church.

...bounces on her bum like she is on a trampoline (refer any questions to Jason Arbuckle).

...does not see the point of naps, or sleeping in general. I used to be able to put her in her crib at night and she would fall right to sleep for 10-12 hrs. Now that I am putting her in her crib for naps she cries EVERY TIME she goes down, and is only sleeping8-9 hours at night. BLAH!

...likes to pull herself up on anything solid.

....enjoys a smorgasbord of foods. Yesterday she figured out how to pick up Cheerios and put them in her mouth- she is VERY PROUD of herself! A good thing, considering the fact that she will soon be getting weaned (she likes to exhibit her new teeth during nursing...I do NOT support the exhibition!)

...scoots around on her bum as her main mode of transportation. However, yesterday, this occurred (don't listen to my annoying voice, por favor!):

Last week of AZ trip 2009....

...a pictorial collage o' randomness

Good times, great memories!
